Hey! just to inform you there is a new approach to gain entry to the quarry at the start of the raft event!!!
Read carefully
The new approach to get into the quarry is:
Traffic approaching from Chesterfield / Alfreton/ Mansfield will first hit the Crown Roundabout, do not go over the old A6 bridge.
Drive straight over the roundabout as if going towards Darley Dale, approximately 750mtrs you will come to a new roundabout, turn left into the Sainsbury complex, over the new bridge and at the 1st set of traffic lights turn right, follow the road until you come to the T junction, (petrol station in front of you) turn right up the incline, after 100mtrs turn right into an unmade quarry road, and follow it into the quarry by this time some of the old landmarks are becoming familiar

Rafters approaching the site from Matlock Bath (A6) can drive straight into the quarry leaving the Stations and Sainsbury’s on your left.
Yes we will be there to give out packs and most important we will take your entry fee.
Please remember no paper work no entry
So ensure you have the correct paper work completed.
Please note: there is no Right turn over the old A6 Bridge into

And the old access road to the quarry off Snitterton Road is now closed !!
